Backend Developer (Part-Time, Hybrid) at AR.VO
AR.VO, a leading innovator in the development of web3-native personal computers in the form of augmented reality goggles, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backend Developer. This part-time, hybrid role is open to candidates based in Helsinki and across Finland. Compensation is provided solely in the form of stock options, reflecting our belief in sharing the success of our groundbreaking company with our team.
Role Overview:
As a Backend Developer, you will be a key player in the design and development of server-side logic for our cutting-edge AR goggles. Your extensive knowledge in backend development and understanding of blockchain technology will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our technological edge.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the server-side logic for our AR goggles.
- Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications and services.
- Collaborate with the front-end team to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
- Create scalable and secure backend services for web applications.
- Identify, debug and resolve issues and defects.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Extensive experience as a backend developer, with a deep understanding of server-side logic.
- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, .NET, or Node.js.
- Familiarity with blockchain technology and related tools and platforms such as Ethereum, Solidity, Hyperledger Fabric, Truffle, or Geth is a plus.
- Experience with database technology such as MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems is a plus.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for remote and in-person work across Finland. Compensation for this role is provided entirely in the form of stock options.
