Senior Product Designer (Part-Time, Hybrid) at AR.VO
AR.VO, a ground-breaking company creating web3-native personal computers in the form of augmented reality goggles, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Product Designer. This part-time, hybrid position is open to candidates in Helsinki and across Finland, and compensation is exclusively provided in the form of stock options, allowing the successful candidate to share in the success of our rapidly growing company.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our unique AR goggles, covering both hardware and software product design aspects. Your creativity, innovation, and expertise in generative design principles will contribute significantly to the overall user experience and functionality of our product.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design process for both hardware and software components of our AR goggles, including conceptualization, prototyping, and user testing.
- Utilize generative design principles to optimize product performance, aesthetics, and ergonomics.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Industrial Design, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure a cohesive product experience.
- Conduct in-depth user research to inform design decisions and ensure the product meets usability and user experience standards.
- Present design concepts and prototypes to stakeholders and adjust designs based on feedback.
- Contribute to the establishment and improvement of design procedures and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Product Design, UX Design, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
- Extensive experience in product design, with a portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both hardware and software design.
- Experience with AR/VR devices or similar technology products is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in mainstream product design tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, Adobe XD, and others.
- Familiarity with generative design principles and tools.
- Experience with Git or similar version control systems for design work is a significant plus.
- Excellent visual communication skills, including sketching, 3D modeling, and rendering.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design and the ability to conduct and implement user research.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet strict deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, with both remote and in-person work options across Finland. The compensation for this role is provided entirely in the form of stock options.
